I got a bit carried away while I was writing The Big Book of Flight and realised, once I came up for air, that there was no way everything I’d produced would fit into any reasonably sized book.
As a result, a few bits and pieces – some of which I was very fond of – ended up on the cutting room floor. No point leaving them there. I’ll try to get them all online here. There was going to be strand in the book featuring potted histories of the contributions of a number of countries around the world, in the end, they all got the chop. I’ve posted the Wings of Germany chapter in the articles section on the right. Canada, Italy and Brazil will follow. I know, excitement reigns…
